If someone had told me a few years ago that I’d one day be sat at home with a sewing machine, I genuinely would have laughed.
And not just any sewing machine… a tiny handheld one! 😂
I’ve never considered myself particularly “crafty”. I’m much more comfortable choosing pretty products, creating gorgeous gift boxes and making everything look beautiful than I am sitting down to actually make something.
But that’s the funny thing about running your own business.
You start with an idea… and then suddenly you’re learning things you never imagined you’d need to know.
And that little sewing machine is a perfect example.
As I build Pretty Little Presents 2.0, I’m looking at my business differently. I’m not just thinking about what I can sell — I’m thinking about what I can create, how I can make things feel more personal and how I can add those little details that make a Pretty Little Presents gift feel special.
So yes… there may be a few wonky stitches along the way. 😂
There may be some trial and error.
But that’s what I’m enjoying about this next chapter.
I’m learning. I’m experimenting. I’m creating. And I’m having fun with it.
And who knows… maybe one day I’ll actually know what I’m doing with this sewing machine! 😂🎀
